AZ Sugar Fairy Cakes and Sweets

Hi I’m Roni owner of AZ Sugar Fairy Cakes & Sweets.
I am a home baker approved through the Arizona Department of Health Services Home Baked & Confectionary Goods License.
I have been baking for over 20 years beginning as an assistant to my mom in her baking business. I was born and raised in Arizona, and grew up in the Town of Guadalupe &Tempe. I am number 3 of 4 girls in my family.  I attended Marcos de Niza High School, South Mountain Community College earning an Associate of Art and an Associate of General studies, then went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree at Arizona State University is Women’s Studies and Chicana/o Studies in 2004. I have also attended Northern Arizona University taking course work towards a Certificate for Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
I have worked at several of the Maricopa Community Colleges and continued to bake when I had free time.
I am now a stay at home mom of two amazing boys who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder.
I am continuing to bake in my spare time, mostly at midnight or later for my own sanity and therapy.
I specialize in cakes, cookies, & Mexican pastries from scratch.
I look forward to working with you to create a custom treat for your special event.

Thanks for stopping by,

Here's some helpful tips

Not just a flick of the wand...

Every cake is special. Plan Correctly......

They should first look through pictures on websites, magazines, bridal blogs etc. to get an idea of what type of cake they are looking for.

Do they like a certain look of frosting?Figure that out. If they LOVE how fondant looks, but whipped cream is less expensive, the look of the cake may be entirely different than the picture they had in their mind as the textures are different.

How many guests would they need to serve? This is a huge element of figuring out costs as most bakers charge by the slice or serving.

Request a quote and a date. Provide as much detailed information of what they would like the cake to look like and how they want it to taste. Frosting/color/style/how many tiers/do they want fresh flowers, etc.

Put a deposit down. This saves the date. I am a one man band and only able to take 1 wedding order per weekend in order to keep my sanity. Once someone puts a deposit down, that is their guarantee that their cake is in my books and the date is reserved just for their wedding or event.
